Improving access to psychological care

My advocacy work focuses on integrating psychologists into primary care so people can receive timely mental and behavioural health support through the healthcare settings they already use.

I have worked with the BC Psychological Association and the University of British Columbia Okanagan to develop and present the Primary Care Psychologist, or PCPsych, proposal.

The PCPsych proposal

The model proposes psychologists working alongside family physicians and other primary care clinicians. It is intended to improve access to assessment, treatment, consultation and coordinated care when mental and physical health needs overlap.
